Fabric  Care


Although Solgear bags are made to out-live the owner, steps must be taken to ensure their long life.  Solgear uses a PVC-coated mesh material resistant to mildew.  Mildew can grow on dirt,  therefore Solgear recommends cleaning bags with a heavy detergent.  It is also recommended to burn any frayed threads or webbing, and periodically wipe mesh with 303 Protectant to better resist UV damage.

Throw-bag Fabric

All Solgear Throw Bags are made of 12 ounce, plastic-coated polyester knit mesh in bright florescent orange for high visibility and to reduce the dreaded river-rot.

FO - Florescent Orange

Extra Open Dish Net Mesh Fabric

The Dishnet Mesh has fibers spaced out to help dishes dry faster.  This fabric is used for Solgear Item 221 Sid's Dish Net.

XBK - Extra Open Black

XDB - Extra Open Dark Blue

XIC - Extra Open Ice

XRB - Extra Open Royal Blue

Standard Fabric

This fabric is what most Solgear products are made with.  Plastic Coated Polyester Strands woven and heat sealed for maximum mildew and UV resistance.

YL - Yellow

LN - Linen

DB - Dark Blue

BK - Black

PC - Porcelain

FP - Florescent Pink

BO - Blazen Orange

Extreme Mesh

Strands of plastic polyester woven extremely tight to provide maximum strength.  This material is used for Solgear Cargo equipment and drag bags.
